About

We are two extremely different girls who managed to integrate two concepts that we have a true passion for; pretty things and clever words. Whether it be fashion, food, pop culture, beauty or anything else life has to offer, think of this blog as your go-to platform that brings our quirky style to the table while staying honest and true to our young adult audience. Just a pair of eccentric best friends who live in the South but dress for the city. Enjoy

Nicknames:

Yendi. It’s like "Wendy" but with a Y..

Rebecca. Call me whatever you want.. I have nicknames ranging from Becca to Re-bitch-ca.

Describe your personal style:

Yendi:
I would describe my style as honest. I dress how I feel or how I want to feel. Both current stylistically inspires me and classic trends as well as music, movies, weather, and of course, pretty things. My biggest influence is French fashion. Give me some stripes, a pair of boyfriends jeans, and tuxedo shoes and I’m set.

Rebecca:
I am a college student who days are filled with two and a half hour art studios and a pile of projects and homework, so on campus I would say my style is described in one word: bum. Don't let that fool you though, I still try to get dressed up. I still try to keep it comfortable in my every day out of school look, but I still try to accentuate with my jewelry and make-up. Thanks for that youtube. You can say i've mastered the art of dressing for comfort.

Procrastination go-to?

Yendi:
Growing up I developed an unhealthy obsession with the beacon of all magazines, Teen vogue for the following reasons: impeccable visual communication and fashion; The two things I love the most.  For that, I am a proud collector of all issues after 2005 and it is still growing. #Noshame

Rebecca:
When on my computer, I always find myself on buzzfeed or watching something on youtube. I have a crazy obsession with anything pop culture. I find myself not only reading just about a story in celebrity news, but I always end up researching that topic till I figure out the whole back story. I'm on constant need to know everything basis. Call me a stalker. I also enjoy making myself cry to wedding videos and inspirational people on Ellen, so I'm just plain weird.

What do you plan on doing after college?
We have both been accepted into the Graphic Design program at Georgia Southern University and both see ourselves working in publication design.

Yendi:
The best part about fashion internships is that you are given the opportunity to experience different aspects of the industry. Through various different jobs, I see myself working towards becoming a creative director for a Condé Nast publication. Big dreams for a girl who is only 4’11 but I’m prepared to work my way up.

Who knows? I change my mind as much as I change my clothes so we’ll just have to wait and see…

Why start a blog?

You know what they say — best friends who blog together, stay together. Okay, so maybe nobody actually says that but realistically I have always admired great street fashion photography and we saw it as a great way to treat this platform form as a form of expression that we could share as my best friends. We both thought that the fact that we compliment each other, this would be a fantastic collaboration of between the right amount of sugar and spice.  Enjoy!
