The Perfect Spring Break Playlist

Spring Break is right around the corner for most of us college students. Do you have the perfect spring break playlist ready yet? Let me be of some assistance.. Yendi and I will be in Miami next week for our trip, so I put together a little preview of what my playlist is going to look like. Here are some of the top songs that will be playing ranging from every genre that you should be playing on the beach! 

1. No Way No - Magic

     

Magic obviously is amazing anyway, but this song is extremely catchy. I love it. I find myself listening to it on repeat in the car envisioning myself on the beach with a corona in my hand.. so it is the great for spring break. 

2. Come On To Me - Major Lazer ft. Sean Paul 

Anyone into Dancehall music? We'll be in Miami for the week, and I feel like this will be everywhere while we are there. This song is fun and definitely necessary for some donk shaking. 

3. No Diggity - Chet Faker

This song is the epitmity of a spring break. 

4. Amber - 311

If you don't know this song.. there is something wrong. This is the perfect song for tanning and relaxing with your friends. 

5. Ass Drop - Wiz Khalifa

Now for the people going to PCB or Miami like myself, I think we will be listening to this song for the first half of spring break.. before the sun and alcohol hit us. 

6. Trap Queen - Fetty Wap

This is my one of my roommate's favorite songs.. Its a little much, but when you are the beach you can definitely "turn up" to it. 

7. Rae Sremmurd - Throw Som Mo

This is my favorite rap song right now. Rae Sremmurd might not make sense sometimes, but I love this song. It will be on repeat until my friends hate me this next week. 

8.  Magic! - Let Your Hair Down 

Can not get too much of Magic. So ladies let your hair down and enjoy the sun.

9. The Sand I Brought To The Beach - Luke Bryan

I go to Georgia Southern University, so country music has grown on me. Luke Bryan is perfect for a spring break playlist, because he makes a spring break playlist... duh. This song is catchy and about the beach, so for all you country lovers, you can't go wrong. Luke Bryan also came from Georgia Southern.. so represent. 

10.  Right Where We Want It - Dustin Lynch

To keep going on with the country genre, I love this song not only for spring break, but for the summer. 

Whether you are going to the beach, skiing, road tripping, or just staying home, I hope all of y'all have a fabulous spring break!

I Put My Trousers on One Leg at a Time

I’m obsessed with these beautiful trousers from Forever21. It’s a gorgeous pastel shade that goes perfectly with my wardrobe, especially whites – a classic looking piece with a timeless silhouette that also fits amazingly well! Worn here with my Topshop T-shirt and a pair of black strappy sandals. This outfit is perfect for an amazing spring day like this one. Statesboro is finally warming up and I'm finding any  excuse to be outside right now. Unfortunately, graphic design classes and internship applications have kept me indoors for now so spring Break could not come at a better time! Miami, here I come!!

5 Secrets To Write Your Best Resume Ever!

Crafting the perfect resume is a task that never seems to be completed. It just never seems to look right… That’s because you haven’t learned my five secrets that will help you write the best resume ever!

1. Mix it up

As easy as it is to send one and be done, it’s that easy for your resume to be thrown in the trash. Employers are crunched for time and only want to read about your experiences that are relevant to not only the position, but the field. For example, if you’re applying for a marketing internship, leave your experience working at your school newspaper off the page (or at least further down.) Including only relevant experience makes you appear nichely qualified, even if it takes up less space on the page.

Writing multiple resumes sounds like a lot of work, doesn’t it? Try creating a master resume of all your experience in every field do all your have to do is copy and past you most relevant experience to a new resume. Easy peasy!

2. Simplicity is key

Everyone has the same old resume format. Black and white and boring. So, wouldn’t it be a great idea to add some color and fancy fonts? No! Even if your resume (aesthetically) looks the same as everyone else’s, the most important factor is that it is clean and readable. Let your accomplishments do the standing out.

3. The one page rule

The golden rule of resumes: one page, and one page only! Employers are busy people who don’t have the time to read pages and pages about everything you’ve accomplished. Keep it relevant and concise.

4. Fragments are your friend

Scratch everything you’ve learned in every English class you’ve ever taken and flaunt those fragments! Employers are busy bees and don’t want to spend time reading complete sentences. Bullet pointing your accomplishments using fragments is easier and quicker to read.

5. Don’t tell it; show it!

If an employer wanted to know the tasks associated with your previous job, they would just read the job description. Sure, tasks show what you did, but what makes you stand out is showing what you ACCOMPLISHED. Everyone lists the tasks they completed because, not only is it easier, it’s thought that’s what employers want to know. The space on your resume is much better used telling how you did something instead of what you did.
